I NEED YOUR HELP!
Exciting News!
Dr. Aimee Shunney and I will begin hosting a weekly radio show, ‘Green Tea & Honey: Delicious Food. Smart Medicine’, on Saturdays from 9-9:30am beginning March 6th on Green 960am! You can listen live from the Bay Area, stream online (www.Green960.com) or download podcasts via iTunes. Every week, we will talk about food, health and the joy of eating!
This is where you come in. Could you take a few moments to answer this question for us:
Who in your life really knows how to make the food you love? Describe the food and any touches that make it extra special.
We will be discussing responses on the air. Thank you SO MUCH for your help in making this a great show!!

This seems silly, but the food I love is changing and I am not so sure I love the food I used to love. I love the taste of vegetables now, when before I seemed more interested in the sauce that smothered them. But the one place I know I would still love to eat, if it was still there, would be the Sea Cloud on the Wharf in Santa Cruz. The appetizers were incredible. I can’t remember any one particular favorite-but presentation was beautiful– of course and the food was interesting-not super heavy … The sauces when used enhanced the flavors instead of hiding them.
well, it used to be my mom. but since i’ve stopped eating dairy and gluten that’s changed and i’m really the only one who cooks for myself, so i don’t have a good answer. i am so grateful to have some restaurants in my neighborhood where i can get a GF/dairy free pizza, and some healthy Mexican and Indian places, too. it’s nice to let someone else do the cooking and still know i’m giving my body something healthy.
Me! My eating habits have changed so much since I was a child/teenager, and I have become a fairly accomplished cook (if I do say so myself). I make yummy, healthy food out of PLANTS.
Now it’s me, and a few favorite restraunts, but they aren’t too healthy! My grandma used to make the best food, I LOVED her cooking. She was from the south though so I can’t say it was ever healthy. Now I am developing a taste for healthy foods and I hope with your meal plan I can learn to cook a variety of veggie based dishes!
